I thought this picture twisted reality. When shooting, I decided to keep the details such as the street sign and the black background to make the picture feel more real. However, with this long exposure time, the lights are all on at the same time. How can this be real when the street lights are red, yellow, and green? This is why I know pictures are not reality themselves, there is always an idea or a photographer behind it.

What I learned from Assignment two:
Sometimes you just have to look at things in a different angle!
If it rains take the picture anyway!
Sometimes people will honk their horn and yell, just smile and wave.... then take a candid picture of them when they leave. :)
Your fast shutter speed picture is so cool! It almost looks like she's jumping on a trampoline.
ReplyDeleteI liked your photo for "the thing itself" section. Whenever we look at traffic lights normally, we only see one light of the three flashing. This image provides a rare oppertunity to see all three flashing in one photograph. In the image we can even see where this light is with the street sign on the side.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Night photography. The streak of light looks like it's coming out of nowhere! It is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like your Detail photo: how the words curve with the paper, how the letters are larger near the viewer, and how the letters grow smaller as they recede into the background.
ReplyDeleteThe Thing Itself is fascinating. The bright lights, all melding together, and only the W. Liberty street sign visible!
Your The Thing Itself photo was the one that grabbed my attention. Upon first glance, I thought was a picture of the taillights of a car, and then later realized it was a streetlight.
ReplyDeleteI liked your Hand Held Night Photography image! it almost looks like the lights are forming a face! Kind of mysterious in a way.
ReplyDeleteThe detail shot is amazing, i would hang that in a library
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your fast shutter speed! The pop of red is awesome. It looks like an ad in a magazine or something.
ReplyDeleteI love the frame picture. It took me a second to realize what it was, it was definitely not a point of view I am used to seeing.
ReplyDeleteYour dog looks scared of the flash. Interesting subject idea.
ReplyDeleteLove your fast shutter speed, very neat!
ReplyDeleteThe Thing Itself is something i swish i would had done
